Directions
Airport Leipzig-Halle (LEJ):
Take the train from Leipzig Airport to Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) that runs over 30 minutes. A ticket will cost 3.40 EUR (you will have to buy one at the MVB ticket machine and STAMP it before boarding the train). Note that the fast and fancy ICE trains also stop at the airport on their way to Leipzig: you will need a different ticket for those (6 EUR) -- from the DB ticket machine. If you buy the ticket for the Regional train (RE) it will also be valid within Leipzig.
Train station (Hauptbahnhof)
When you arrive at the Leipzig railway station leave the building and you will find yourself at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Buy a ticket "Einzelfahrkarte Leipzig" at one of the ticket counters or machines and stamp it right after boarding the tram. Click on the following link for a map of public transport in Leipzig:

Take the tram number 2 (going to Naunhofer Strasse) or number 15 (going to Meusdorf) and get off at the stop "Altes Messegelaende".

Take tram number 16 to the destination "Lößnig" (or "Lössnig") and get off at the 5th stop called "Deutsche Buecherei". Turn left, cross the street "Semmelweissstraße" and you will find yourself at Deutscher Platz. The institute, a modern building with a glass facade, is at your right.

We will start the meeting with a dinner on Friday. I will pick you up at the Antikhotel (details follow as soon as I know when everyone is arriving).
On Saturday I will pick you up at the hotel at 9:30 and will walk you to he institute.
The network meeting ends with a picnic / barbecue on Sandy around noon.
