Kick-off Meeting
The Kick-off Meeting will take place from 26th to 29th of March in Athens. Arrival is on Sunday, 26th of March. The meeting will start on Monday, 27th, 9:30 and will end on Tuesday 18:00. We ask every participant to attend the meeting during this time. Departure is on Tuesday evening or later. The rooms are booked at the Parthenon Hotel.

On March 29th there will be a solar eclipse. Perhaps it would interest some participants to know that they could watch it on Wednesday, if they are still here. Coverage will be about 84%, largest than any other part of Europe. Totality will be farther south and east, unfortunately. For more information visit the DHAL website.

Directions from airport to Parthenon Hotel:
Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport and they can take you directly to the hotel. Cost should be about 30-40 euro (but I am just guestimating). On Sunday traffic should be light, so total travel time should be less than an hour.
Metro: Recommended if you are travelling light. Take Metro Line 3. Every half hour leaving from airport to Monastiraki, from 6:30 until 20:30. Get off at Syntagma station (one stop before Monastiraki). Approximate time of travel 42 minutes. Then change line to Line 2, direction Aghios Dimitrios, get off at next stop (Akropoli) 2 minutes later. See the metro web site:

Hotel: Parthenon Hotel. 6 Makri street, Athens.
Info about Sunday dinner will follow. It will probably be scheduled around 8:00 pm and we are trying to organize it at some nice place close to the hotel (within walking distance).
Weather: March is the most unpredictable month. It may be warm (above 20 degrees) and sunny, or it may be cold and rainy. I recommend checking the weather on the Internet before departure.
